Untouristy town in Japan, SHIKOKU, Kagawa, Takamatsu, Aji-cho

After spending the night at the Aji Minato Banshyo(庵治みなと番所), you will wake up to find another location for the movie “Shouting Love in the Center of the World”!

Breakfast at the “Shashinkan” cafe, another location for the movie “Shouting Love in the Center of the World! It takes about 10 minutes on foot.

The photo studio that was used for the filming has been preserved and is now open as a café.

Please enjoy the delicious coffee, toast, and salad, and feel like the main character of the film.

Afterwards, take another 10-minute walk to the Aji Port Guard Station and return to the museum, this time by car.

The first is the Nagare Masayuki Museum of Art, less than 20 minutes away by car. The view of the Seto Inland Sea from the museum is truly a work of art.

*There is also a “Tooth Art Museum” nearby. If you are interested in “teeth

After enjoying the art, you must be hungry...

We recommend you try the “Shirasu-don,” a bowl of rice topped with a bowl of shirasu (baby sardines), which is filled with locally caught shirasu and seafood.

Stop by the cafe “Arupusu” where you can enjoy a bowl of shirasu (fresh shirasu) and other local seafood. The daily lunch is also very reasonably priced at around 800 yen.

The view from there is also really wonderful!

After filling up, drive towards Takamatsu and visit the Isamu Noguchi Museum in Mure Town, next to Aji Town!

Here, too, there are a number of works of art that are very worth seeing. You can enjoy the art space outdoors, which is different from the everyday space.

After that, we will head back toward Takamatsu, back to “Yashima” where we visited on the first day. There, at the “Shikoku Village,” Kagawa's folk art and old houses are preserved as they are, and you will feel like you have stepped back in time as you stroll around. Sneakers are a must if you go here!

After having a good time, it's time for dinner.

Udon Kaiseki” is a refined way to enjoy Kagawa's local cuisine, ‘Udon’. Please enjoy it.

Then, come back to “Aji Minato Bansho” at night and enjoy “playing in the bath” with your family while looking at the “picture of Mt.

Afterwards, please enjoy a relaxing evening with a cup of tea in the tea ceremony room.
